Drone light show in city set December 25, 31

3 December 2020 – Residents and visitors alike will be treated by the city government and its private partners during the Yuletide season with a first-of-its-kind drone light show in the city on Christmas Day and before the New Year revelry.

Supervising City Tourism Operations Officer Engr. Aloysius C. Mapalo said that instead of the traditional fireworks display to celebrate Christmas and to welcome the New Year, the city embraced a unique way of celebrating the Yuletide season amidst the prevailing pandemic with a drone light show.

Conduct of ornamental plant fair sought

Blended conduct of 2021 Panagbenga festival eyed

3 December 2020 – Residents and visitors who are longing for the conduct of crowd-drawing events in the city next year will now have a chance to  witness the events of the 2021 edition of the Panagbenga that might be done through blended mode.

Supervising tourism Operations Officer Engr. |Aloysius C. Mapalo reported that the recent conduct of the Ibagiw Creative Arts festival serves as a benchmark for the future staging of similar crowd-drawing events in the city, like the upcoming Panagbenga by February next year.

City to have 1,000 isolation beds by year end

3 December 2020 – The city’s isolation units will be ready to accommodate the projected increase in the number of Corona Virus Disease (COVID)  2019 cases during the Yuletide season as the upgrading of some isolation units are still underway until the completion of more than 1,000 isolation beds by year end.

Xổ số 24 giờCity Administrator Bonifacio dela Peña reported the former Sto. Niño hospital which is serving as the central isolation unit will have a maximum bed capacity of 400 by the end of the month compared to its present capacity of 233 beds.

Baguio ready to accept 1,000 visitors daily

Legal operation of transient houses in city pushed

2 December 2020 – City officials recently requested the City Local Zoning Board on Adjustments and Appeals (LZBAA), the City Permits and Licensing Division of the City Mayor’s Office, and the City Tourism Office to recommend appropriate measures and regulations for the legal operation of transient and lodging facilities in the city.

Pay real property tax early to avail discounts, avoid penalty

3 December 2020 – The City Treasury Office of Baguio is reminding the public to pay their real property tax and special education fund tax for 2021 as early as December this year if they want to avail of the 20% discount.

Baguio sets 5-day installation of RFID expressway stickers

3 December 2020 - The city government of Baguio was able to arrange another round, this time for five days, of the radio-frequency identification (RFID) Autosweep and Eastrytrip sticker installation activity at the Loakan Airport from December 7 to 11.

Mayor Benjie Magalong coordinated with the management of San Miguel Corporation (Autosweep) and NLEX Corporation (Easytrip) for the installation of RFIDs to accommodate more motorists in the city and nearby towns.

Swearing-in of Disiplina Muna barangay brigade members set on Dec. 7
